Raffle via Text allows you to conduct a quick, easy, and fun raffle using text messaging. Participants will text your phone number and enter the raffle. The app selects winners at random and notifies winners via text or phone call.
To run a raffle, open the Raffle via Text app on a device. Ask participants to text their name to the cell phone (or Google Voice) number associated with the device. Click "View Entries" to view a list of raffle participants. "Pick Winner!" will randomly select a winner, display the winner's name on the screen, and notify the winner (via text or phone call). "Reset" removes the most recent winner's entry from the list to avoid duplicate winners.
Click the gear icon to configure settings. The settings allow you to send entry confirmations (a text message confirming entry into the raffle), temporarily disallow new entries, remove selected entries, clear all entries, and export contacts (email a .csv file with all entries).
